Effect of pH on the Electrodeposition of ZnTe Film from a Citric Acid Solution*
نویسندگان
چکیده
Potentiostatic cathodic electrodeposition of ZnTe was investigated from the viewpoint of the effect of pH on the deposits’ composition and crystallinity using citric acidic electrolytic baths, in which Zn(II) and Te(IV) species were dissolved to form ZnH2Cit þ, ZnHCit, ZnCit , Zn(Cit)2 4 and HTeO2 þ, HTeO3 , respectively (Cit: citrate) at various pH. The complex equilibrium calculation was carried out to examine the most predominant complex ion for Zn-Cit system at different pH. Deposition of three kinds of deposits, i.e., polycrystalline ZnTe with closely stoichiometric composition, crystalline Te, and the mixed crystal due to Te and ZnTe, can be controlled by changing the pH and [Zn(II)]/ [Te(IV)] concentration ratio of the baths. All the deposits obtained at pH 4.0 were well crystallized with a ZnTe cubic preferential orientation along the (111) plane without any post-treatment. The difference of the electrodeposition behavior at various pH was also discussed.

Cyclic Voltammetry Investigation of the Mechanism of CuInSe2 and CuIn(Al)Se2 Electrodeposition from Aqueous Solution
Electrodeposition of CuInSe2 (CIS) and CuInAlSe2 (CIAS) from aqueous solution has been systematically investigated by cyclic voltammetery implementing different scan rates. It has been shown that electrodeposited CIS and CIAS have been formed on the substrate through electrochemical-chemical interaction of reduces species on the substrate. From the obtained results, it could be inferred that I...
متن کاملEffect of Salicylic Acid, Citric Acid and Ascorbic Acid on Post-harvest Quality and Vase Life of Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) Cut Flowers
Cut gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) flowers are sensitive to microbial contamination and have short vase life. The effect of salicylic acid, citric acid and ascorbic acid (50, 100 and 200 mg l-1) was evaluated on vase life of gerbera flowers. Changes in vase life, water absorption, and bacterial population in stem and vase solution, also biochemical characteristics such as protein concentration, li...

Objective: Polyphenol oxidase or PPO (EC 1.14.18.1) is considered the enzyme responsible for quality deterioration and browning in different fruits during postharvest period. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antibrowning (inhibition of polyphenol oxidase activity) effect of Cysteine, Ascorbic acid, citric acid, kojic acid and glycine at two different pH (6 and 7) in hawthorn.
